In a move that enables live data streams at a cost-effective price, BondDesk Group, a financial technology firm providing enterprise-wide fixed income solutions, today announced the offering of live U.S. Treasury data feeds for Microsoft Office Excel.

The data feed is a stand-alone service that allows users to insert up-to-date U.S. Treasury data directly into Excel. This is BondDesk's first entry into the live market data space, and serves as the first step in a broader initiative by the company to provide public and private trading data feeds into Excel.

"With Excel's near universal use in finance, there's a strong demand for affordable, accurate and unbundled live data feeds," said Ben Fortunato, Managing Director at BondDesk and Chief Operating Officer of TIPS LLC. "Our feed will allow users to incorporate live data into their Excel-based proprietary analytical models and tools at an attractive cost without burdening users with unwanted services, offerings and fees."

BondDesk will draw on the experience of its subsidiary TechHackers, a fixed-income analytics software firm specializing in add-ins for Excel, to ensure accessibility and ease of use for the data feed.

BondDesk is currently offering a 60-day beta period of the feed, after which users will be given a free 30-day trial. Once the trial period ends, the feed will be available on a subscription basis for $95 per month.

The BondDesk U.S. Treasury data feed is available for immediate download and activation. The service runs in Microsoft Excel 2003 and 2007 editions for the Windows operating systems.
