Nyse Euronext shakes up management to align European and US cash equities trading businesses

Nyse Euronext (NYX)has announced a series of management changes that further aligns the company's European and U.S. cash trading and listings businesses.

The new organizational structure, according to NYSE Euronext Chief Executive Officer Duncan L. Niederauer, "better serves our customers and our strategic business objectives in a very challenging and increasingly competitive business environment." Roland Bellegarde, Group Executive Vice President and member of Management Committee, assumes responsibility for the company's European and international (non-Americas) listing businesses. Mr. Bellegarde will continue to oversee European cash trading.

Cees Vermaas, who until now has led NYSE Euronext sales effort in Europe, has been named Executive Vice President and Head of European Cash Markets with responsibility for the company's European cash trading business, including equities, fixed income, operations, IT projects and business development. Mr. Vermaas continues to report to Mr. Bellegarde.

Lisa Dallmer has been appointed Executive Vice President, Exchange Traded Products and Indices. She reports to Mr. Bellegarde for European activities and to Lawrence Leibowitz, Group Executive Vice President & Head of U.S. Execution & Global Technology, for our U.S. operations.

Christine Sandler has been named Executive Vice President, Global Sales, which encompasses sales and relationship management for cash trading in both Europe and the U.S. Ms. Sandler reports to both Mr. Bellegarde and Mr. Leibowitz.in Europe and the U.S., respectively.
