Integrated Media Management (IMM), a document output management and automation technology provider, announced that South Dakota-based Black Hills Federal Credit Union has purchased TotaleAtlasWeb, a remote signature capture and secure document delivery solution that provides the mobility to sign documents remotely anywhere, anytime, 24/7 via the Web.
The credit union will use the solution to better service its members who live in other parts of the country.
"Since many of our members have retired and moved from the region or joined while stationed at our local air force base and have since transferred, 25 percent of our members currently live outside of our charter area," John Madsen, Vice President of Information Technology of Black Hills FCU, explained. "Additionally, due to the ruggedness of the Black Hills, and the size of the counties in our field of membership, it is not always convenient to travel to a branch. With TotaleAtlasWeb, these members can continue to conduct business from any location."
Currently, members who want to complete loan documents remotely receive them via fax or postal mail, which delays the process, especially for those who do not have access to a fax machine. TotaleAtlasWeb will enable Black Hills FCU to provide same day service to these members securely via the Web. The credit union also anticipates the technology being well received by Generations X and Y.
Secondly, the credit union has upgraded to TotaleAtlas 4.3. TotaleAtlas is a document preparation engine that electronically captures signatures in-branch and creates a secure and non-editable PDF with signatures embedded. Black Hills FCU made the investment as part of its commitment to keep up with the latest technology.
"We launched TotaleAtlas in October 2007 and the solution has significantly reduced the amount of paper that the credit union purchases and stores," Madsen added. "We have been able to convert an area that was once used for storage into valuable office space."
"We are proud that Black Hills FCU chose to expand their relationship with IMM," Chuck Klein, CEO at IMM, said. "TotaleAtlasWeb gives credit unions the ability to serve members who cannot conveniently access a branch or who just prefer to do business from their home or office."
