Mastek, the international software solutions company has appointed Tom Rogerson as global product manager.

Tom joins Mastek from CSC, where he spent 14 years developing the company's proposition in the insurance sector. During this time he performed a number of senior roles, including program director and product manager, and latterly worked as chief technology officer within CSC's financial services sector in EMEA. He brings a wealth of experience in insurance systems and product management and will be responsible for Mastek's continued development in this area.

Tom Rogerson Global Product Manger, Mastek says: "The opportunity to work with Mastek to drive its business to the next level, based on a combination of software IP and services - and building upon the strong foundations already laid - was one I couldn't pass up. I don't know of any other company around the world that is investing at Mastek's level, particularly in the next phase of its Elixir solution, which is the first genuinely Java-based, SOA-based and componentised insurance system with the full functionality required by insurers in the UK and other geographies. I am looking forward to working with Mastek's people and clients across the globe to bring these products to market."

Kees Ten Nijenhuis, Managing Director, Europe says: "We are delighted that Tom has joined us at what is a vitally important time in our development as an organisation. His experience will be crucial in ensuring we increase our market share in the global insurance industry, as well as helping us to deliver on our commitment to being a leader in transforming businesses through IT."
