Two hundred new jobs are being created in Norwich Union’s call centre in Perth.
The increase will almost triple the number of staff at the Pitheavlis call centre which deals with customers who have taken out insurance through the insurer's relationship with supermarket ASDA.
Recruiting for the full and part-time customer advisors is currently under way and the roles offer competitive salaries plus bronze, silver and gold reward bands which staff can achieve as their skills develop.
The additional jobs have been created to service the needs of customers who have bought insurance polices through ASDA.
Kay Martin, head of ASDA at Norwich Union, said: "This is great news for Perth and will see the number of our call centre staff triple as we help ASDA to grow its general insurance business even more.
"Norwich Union is a key provider of general insurance products through corporate partnerships and this expansion shows that we continue to go from strength to strength."
Gev Lynott, ASDA’s director of financial services, added: "Two hundred jobs is certainly fantastic news for the area. It’s also an illustration of how popular ASDA general insurance is proving to be."
ASDA has been selling general insurance products since March 2003 and currently offers home, motor, travel and pet insurance.
The creation of 200 jobs in Perth reiterates Norwich Union’s commitment to one of its key locations in the UK.
Norwich Union’s corporate partnerships business is headquartered in Perth, and the site currently has a workforce of 1,400 Norwich Union staff.
