ITG names John Carillo head, US portfolio trading

Investment Technology Group (NYSE: ITG), a leading agency broker and financial technology firm, today announced that John Carillo has been appointed Head of US Portfolio Trading.

In this role, Mr. Carillo will be responsible for all aspects of ITG's portfolio trading services, including executing portfolios on behalf of all US clients and offering strategic counsel and expertise for complex portfolio transactions.

Mr. Carillo joined ITG from J.P. Morgan Securities, where he was a senior sales trader in charge of marketing and trading global portfolios for institutional equity clients. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Securities in 2002, he was a senior sales trader at Merrill Lynch, where he provided institutional clients with agency and risk-based portfolio execution and analysis. Mr. Carillo has also served as a trader for Prudential Securities and PaineWebber. Mr. Carillo holds a B.S. from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
