Fiserv, Inc. (Nasdaq:FISV) said Countrywide Bank chose Fiserv CBS Worldwide as its new information technology partner. Countrywide Bank is a division of Treasury Bank, N.A., a $30 billion bank that is a subsidiary of Countrywide Financial Corp.

"We chose Fiserv over the incumbent and other challengers because of the richness of product offerings, functionality and Fiserv's ability to expedite the delivery of new products," said Paul Decoff, chief operations officer for Countrywide Bank. "This product suite from Fiserv provides an enterprise-wide, customer-lifecycle-management approach that complements Countrywide's strategic direction."

Greg Green, chief operating officer of Fiserv CBS Worldwide, said the selection of CBS Worldwide reinforces the company's recent successes in the core processing market for financial institutions over $1 billion in assets.

"We are very pleased that yet another large bank in our space has seen what we have to offer in terms of product, performance, support and a peer group. We look forward to working closely with Countrywide Bank as we implement the progressive, agile system they require," Green said.
