Fox River Execution Technology today announced the appointment of Richard Sansaricq to lead Fox River's sales team and Cheryl Gilberg to head up marketing and corporate communications.

This announcement comes within a few months of Ronald Santella and Robert Santella joining as CEO and COO respectively. Fox River is a leading execution technology provider whose flagship product, The Fox, mimics human trader logic to execute equity orders.

Ronald Santella was recently appointed chief executive officer to oversee all aspects of the business as well as implementing growth initiatives into new product areas. With over 24 years of experience, Santella is an industry leader with extensive experience managing buy-side firms and hedge funds, including multi-billion dollar portfolios comprised of equities, debt instruments, options, futures and derivatives.

In addition, Robert Santella was named chief operating officer and is responsible for ensuring efficiency and focus throughout all support functions. Prior to Fox River, he spent many years overseeing the operations of several private investment funds preceded by an eight-year stint at Price Waterhouse.

"With today's market environment, the demand for strong leadership to support customer needs is critical," said Joe Ritchie, chairman of Fox River Execution Technology. "I am confident that Ron and the recently expanded management team will lead the firm's strategy and product expansion to propel Fox River to the next level."

As head of sales for Fox River, Richard Sansaricq will be responsible for providing strategic direction to Fox River's field sales organization, professional services and operations. Most recently, Sansaricq was managing director and co-head of global prime brokerage sales at BNP Paribas where he led the growth of BNP's hedge fund client base within the prime brokerage, electronic execution, swaps, structured finance and stock loan businesses. Before BNP, Sansaricq held various management roles at Abbey National, Currahee Capital Management, Credit Suisse and Lehman Brothers.

Cheryl Gilberg will lead Fox River's marketing, corporate communications and media relations. Prior to joining Fox River, Gilberg was executive director of marketing at Morgan Stanley where she was responsible for marketing and communications for the institutional equities division. Before Morgan Stanley, Gilberg held senior management roles leading marketing teams for Citigroup, Lava Trading, SunGard and Capital Access International.

"Recruiting top talent like Rich and Cheryl is a testament to our organization and supports our strategy to providing superior trading services and solutions," said Ritchie. "We are pleased to have them join the Fox River management team."

Launched in 2001, Fox River's platform, The Fox, marries trader logic with mathematical precision to achieve best execution, regardless of trading styles or market environments. The Fox executes like an intelligent trader, making short term value judgments throughout the day and aims to achieve the best execution possible, rather than tracking a benchmark.

Both Sansaricq and Gilberg will be based in the firm's New York City office.
