Nyse Euronext deputy CEO Jean-François Théodore to retire
Nyse Euronext (NYX) today announced that Jean-François Théodore, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, intends to retire at the end of 2009 when he will reach 63 years of age.

Subject to regulatory approval, Mr. Théodore will remain a director of the company. Mr. Théodore, who is a member of the company's Management Committee, has served on the leadership team of NYSE Euronext since the merger of the leading U.S. and European exchange groups in April of 2007 and previously had been the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the managing board of Euronext since its formation in September of 2000. The company will commence a search to find a suitable European-based replacement to succeed Mr. Théodore as Deputy CEO. Mr. Théodore will be closely involved in the search and will ensure a smooth and orderly transition.
