Gemalto chooses TNS to support UK Terminal Management System

Transaction Network Services (NYSE:TNS) has been appointed by Gemalto, the world leader in digital security, to provide communications and hosting support for its UK Terminal Management System (TMS), supporting in excess of 140,000 Point of Sale terminals.

Under the terms of the deal, TNS will provide a complete communications and hosting solution, backed up by 24x7x365 monitoring of all connectivity into and out of Gemalto's systems. Underpinning the service is TNS' PCI DSS certified backbone network, providing global connectivity capability into the Gemalto TMS, over a range of access methods, including dial, SSL, GPRS, and VPN.
