Albany Software, the UK's leading e-transactions software author, has expanded its sales team with the appointment of two new members.

Mike Brooke and Matt Tully will both join as Sales Consultants in order to manage growing client demand and strong year-on-year growth.

Brooke and Tully's primary remit will be to increase sales in order to expand the company's already substantial share of the financial software market, further growing Albany's customer base. They will also be involved with the launch of Albany ePAY, the latest financial software offering from Albany and the first on the market to obtain Bacs approval for the Faster Payments service.

Albany has led the market in electronic financial transaction software for more than a decade, with its range of ALBACS e-business software products. Providing a range of powerful, integrated solutions for businesses of any size across multiple sectors, Albany has held a consistently strong market position as the integrated e-business software solution provider of choice for companies nationwide.

Previously Account Manager at Trisoft Limited, Brooke brings with him more than ten years sales experience, involving roles where he was solely responsible for sales, developing new business and increasing the portfolio of products offered. Tully joins the team from his role as UK Sales Manager of SenTAG Limited, having worked for over five years in the payments and collections industry. They have both worked in many sales positions across a host of companies, such as Searchflow and Direct Debit Limited.

Commenting on his new position, Brooke says, "This is a really challenging time to be working in sales due to the current market. However, Albany Software is a well respected and established organisation which is not feeling the effects of the downturn as much as other solutions providers." He continues, "This organisation has maintained a year-on-year market share and now has over 10,000 customers plus a high annual retention rate. I hope to add to this already impressive customer base and I'm confident that the plans I have will boost sales and revenue."

Tully adds, "It is really exciting to be working for a company that produces such innovative e-payment solutions for businesses - I'm personally very keen to see how our customers benefit from the introduction of Albany ePAY. Albany has a consolidated product range to support both Faster Payments and SEPA. With these products, we can help our customers maximise payment options that can really save them money through efficient delivery of funds and financial documentation. This is a key consideration when every department is looking to reduce costs."

Georgia Leybourne, Sales & Marketing Director of Albany, said of Brooke and Tully's appointment. "Brooke and Tully's expertise in the sales and software industry is of considerable value in ensuring that Albany continues to be seen as the leader within the financial transactions sector. We are experiencing high demand for our payments solutions as companies automate more of their transactions and business processes. Both gentlemen will play an integral role in our continued business expansions. As we continue our development it is important that we have the sales resources in place to support our objectives."
