Copp Clark Limited (CCL), publisher of trading and settlement calendars for international financial markets, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Nomura Research Institute (NRI), a leading think-tank and systems integrator based in Japan.

The agreement follows an extensive and rigorous review of CCL's data by NRI. Under the partnership, NRI will now be able to provide Japan's financial sector with the most exact holiday reference data available for the world's financial markets.

Ronald Marr, President of CCL, explains: "CCL has been in the business of defining holidays affecting global financial markets since 1981. Our experienced research team continually updates the data we provide to ensure that it is the latest and most accurate available. Companies purchasing our holiday data through NRI will be joining the thousands of financial organizations around the world who rely on us to ensure transactional integrity."

CCL's reference data will be available to Japanese financial companies through NRI's Integrated Data Service (IDS), its financial database solution.

NRI comments: "We are delighted to be working with CCL. They have an impeccable reputation as a source of market standard holiday reference data and are supported by an experienced team of researchers. Japanese institutions struggling with settlement management and risk management issues will benefit significantly from access to CCL's data, the quality and accuracy of which is, we believe second to none.
