A series of regular meetings were completed during 2004 and have resulted in the completion of an ISO15022 working principles document. ValueLink has been an active participant committed to the Groups objectives
SWIFT Board approval for Market Data Vendors to be accepted as a new participant on the SWIFTnet network was given in July 2004. The ISO 15022 working principles document has also been completed.
Edward de Courcy-Ireland from SWIFT confirmed "Their knowledge and understanding of the business has ensured that the role ValueLink has played in the group has been instrumental in ensuring that the group's objectives continue to be met in a spirit of co-operation and respect for the value of International standards."
Trevor Beach, Operations Director at ValueLink, comments "ValueLink has been hugely encouraged by our progress. Attendance of the SWIFT Market Data Provider ISO 15022 User Group has confirmed our flexibility and expertise within the Corporate Actions arena and this has allowed ValueLink to move at a rapid pace. ValueLink already has a strong reputation in the provision of validated pricing & corporate action services. We believe that the development of the ISO 15022 compliant format will allow clients to use our validated data services more efficiently thereby greatly progressing STP initiatives. This standardised format will also break down many of the interface restrictions that exist and allow our services to be integrated into systems with increased speed."
