FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) is proud to announce that Chris Jenkins, Managing Director for Asia Pacific at Tora, a provider of electronic trading platforms and access to liquidity for institutional investors, has been elected as Co-Chair of the FPL Asia Pacific Regional Committee.

In this position he will work closely alongside Co-Chair George Molina, Senior Vice President and Director of Asian Trading at Franklin Templeton Investments, to lead the FPL organisation in the Asia Pacific region as it seeks to increase awareness and adoption of electronic trading practices and the FIX Protocol.

Mr. Jenkins has over ten years of experience in the financial services software industry, most of which has been in Asia. Prior to Tora he worked at SWIFT in Hong Kong, where he managed its Asian FIX sales team. Before this Mr. Jenkins worked in London at Macgregor, a US-based OMS vendor, and at AXA Investment Management. He has been an active contributor to the FPL Asia Pacific Regional Committee for a number of years and has been Co-Chair of its Education and Marketing Committee since 2006.

Commenting on his recent election, Mr. Jenkins stated, "Having worked with the Committee for several years, I am delighted to have been elected as its Co-Chair. Within this position I hope to be able to build upon the great work that is already in progress to ensure that FIX is at the forefront of the regional expansion of electronic trading to clients, brokers and exchanges. I also look forward to working with the Committee to capitalise on the advances of recent years to the benefit of the whole market."

George Molina, Co-Chair FPL Asia Pacific Regional Committee, Franklin Templeton Investments added "I would like to welcome Chris to his new position and look forward to working alongside him to lead further initiatives in the region. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Chris's predecessor, John Fildes of Instinet, for his many contributions and dedicated leadership of the committee." Mr. Fildes continues to contribute actively to the ongoing success of the FPL organisation and in December 2008 was elected as Co-Chair of the FPL Global Steering Committee.
