Western Union and A&P renew agent agreement

Western Union, a leader in global money transfer services, announced it has signed a five-year renewal agreement with The Greater Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company, Inc. (A&P) to extend its offering of money transfer, money order, and bill payment services throughout the majority of its store locations.

Stores in the company include: A&P, Pathmark, Waldbaum's, SuperFresh and The Food Emporium.

Carter Hunt, Vice President of National Accounts Sales at Western Union, said, "We are pleased to renew our Agent agreement with the A&P Company's stores to enable consumers to use Western Union's fast, reliable and convenient money services. We also encourage our customers to ask about the Western Union® Gold Card Rewards Program the next time they visit the Western Union agent at one of the A&P family of stores."
