Open Solutions, a leading provider of integrated, enterprise-wide data processing technologies for banks and credit unions throughout the United States, Canada and other international markets, announced the promotion of David Mitchell to the corporate position of senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
Mitchell succeeds Mike Nicastro who retired from Open Solutions at the end of 2008. Mitchell will report directly to Open Solutions President Steve Cameron. In his new role, Mitchell is responsible for overall corporate product management, alliances, strategic marketing, as well as all future product direction and development efforts.
Additionally, Mitchell will be responsible for ensuring Open Solutions consistently provides products and services that best meet the needs of its clients, and that new business development and alliance opportunities continually strengthen Open Solutions' overall offerings.
Mitchell joined Open Solutions in 2000, and as a member of Open Solutions' management team he has been an instrumental leader within the company. He has held various positions and has been responsible for full profit and loss management, strategic direction, growth initiatives and operations for all of Open Solutions' product lines. He most recently served as SVP and general manager of Open Solutions' Banking Group.
