Neovia Financial (LSE: NEO), the independent global online payments business, has been chosen by the UK's National Health Service (NHS) for education and training payments for its South Central England region to process payments from its website.
The NHS Education South Central's (NESC) core purpose is the ongoing professional development of health professionals and workforce in that region of England. In practice, this means providing postgraduate training for doctors and dentists, improving clinical standards and monitoring the quality of education and placements.
NEOVIA will be providing the NETBANX Payment Gateway from its Payment Suite of products and services. This means that NESC can take card and non-card payments, including bank transfer payments, directly from its website for training courses offered.
Dan Starr, Executive Vice President of the Merchant Services divisions said: "The NETBANX Payment Gateway means merchants can get up and running quickly, and NEOVIA can manage all their PCI DSS compliance needs, to reduce hassle and cost."
NHS South Central covers the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. It runs from Banbury and Milton Keynes at its northern edge, down to the Isle of Wight in the south.
There are 24 NHS organisations across the South Central region, which provide healthcare to around four million people across an area of 10,000 sq km.
