Wincor Nixdorf, one of the global leaders in open ATM hardware and multi-vendor software solutions that improve branch efficiencies, today announced that Source Technologies will market and resell the Wincor Nixdorf ProCash 6000 and the ProCash 6100 cash recycling automated teller safes (ATS) units to financial institutions.

The ATS systems will be marketed in conjunction with Source Technologies' Concourse teller-assisted self-service terminal kiosks.

The Concourse kiosk serves as a self-service checkout for customers while the Wincor Nixdorf cash recycling ATS units, designed for the teller, complete the transaction by accepting and dispensing money. The Wincor Nixdorf ProCash 6000 and the ProCash 6100 cash recycling ATS units, designed for front office and self-service functions in the branch environment, can include up to six cassettes. Wincor Nixdorf's ProAKT, a complete ATS software application, allows ready integration into U.S. branch platform systems.

Wincor Nixdorf's ATS models offer flexible staff deployment in branch banking, since cash transactions and customer consulting can occur at the same workplace. They also provide a high level of security through concealed cash balances, programmable limits to amounts per transaction and per period, and different safe levels. In addition, automated support eliminates teller discrepancies, and cash does not have to be withdrawn from the strong room as often -- making the branch a more efficient, secure and profitable establishment. Wincor Nixdorf is the second largest integrator of ATS units in the world.

"We were impressed with the design, security and efficiency of the Wincor Nixdorf cash recycling ATS units," said Bill Lynch, vice president, Self-Service Division, Source Technologies. "The ATS units give financial institutions real-time access to the amount of cash they have in the units. They provide faster transactions for customers, an easier handling process for tellers and a lower total cost of ownership."

"As financial institutions continue to add more branches, it is critical for them to provide a more efficient and reliable self-service unit for their customers," said Jeff Kalinoski, vice president, Wincor Nixdorf Banking USA. "Source Technologies' Concourse kiosk and Wincor Nixdorf's cash recycling ATS units will provide financial institutions with an innovative, one-of-a-kind, teller-assisted self-service solution."
