Viewpointe, a leading provider of check image exchange and archive services, today announced that Intrust Bank, the largest independent bank holding company in Kansas, is now using the company's Pointe2Pointe Internet connectivity for check image exchange transfers.

INTRUST Bank joins a growing roster of customers to use Pointe2Pointe since the service was made available in July 2008.

Pointe2Pointe Internet connectivity offers financial institutions with an annual check image volume of less than 75 million a more efficient and economical way to conduct image exchange, eliminating the need for a dedicated telecom line. Leveraging commonly used file transfer software, the service simplifies the transfer process while providing a secure platform to connect with other exchange partners.

"We have been looking for an appropriate check image exchange solution and found that Viewpointe's Pointe2Pointe Internet connectivity was the most effective and cost-efficient way for us to reach other financial institutions," said Deanna Voyles, senior vice president, operations, INTRUST Bank. "Based on our research, we determined that Pointe2Pointe made the most sense for INTRUST due to its affordability and the ease of use."

Pointe2Pointe enables financial institutions to safely send and receive electronic check images between Viewpointe customers, eliminating the time and expense associated with paper transfers. It also helps them complete the "last mile" in image exchange by making the connection to an image exchange network easier for financial institutions of any size.

"As with various companies operating in this current economic environment, INTRUST was looking to connect with additional financial institutions in a cost-effective manner," said Diane Scott, president of Viewpointe Emerging Business. "With Viewpointe's Pointe2Pointe Internet connectivity, INTRUST now has a reliable and secure option to conduct image transfers through a connection requiring fewer internal resources than other approaches. We are pleased Pointe2Pointe met the bank's needs."
