dotMobi, the company behind .mobi - the only Internet address created specifically for locating content that works on all mobile phones - today announced that ClairMail will now use DeviceAtlas(TM) to continue delivering high-quality experiences for mobile phone users.

Novato, Calif.-based ClairMail, which recently announced the newest version of the ClairMail System, featuring an iPhone-optimized version of its mobile Web offering, is the first and only solution provider capable of delivering 2-way mobile banking and payments functionality for banks of any size on all mobile phones across all three user interface options - messaging, mobile Web and client applications. On one platform with a single implementation, ClairMail seamlessly and securely integrates with a bank's systems of record and provides bank customers with a comprehensive suite of 2-way mobile banking and payment services.

With the continued growth of mobile banking, ClairMail was looking to certify its services on a wider breadth of mobile phones so it could serve more customers than previously possible. dotMobi's DeviceAtlas now enables this through its vast handset data from companies such as Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Vodafone and Bango. These handset manufacturers, mobile operators and developers work with dotMobi so developers can create "device aware" content with the most up-to-date information available.

ClairMail now utilizes DeviceAtlas to tailor its mobile Web offering to the capability of any mobile device. If a customer accesses the mobile Web from an iPhone, for example, the user interface is presented in a style and format appropriate for the iPhone. If a customer accesses the mobile Web from a different mobile phone, the user interface is presented in a format appropriate for that particular device - all from the same mobile Web address.

"Mobile banking and transactional payment solutions have exploded this year, and DeviceAtlas is poised to be an integral part of making them accessible for everyone," said Trey Harvin, CEO of dotMobi. "By partnering with dotMobi, ClairMail has a cost-effective way to maintain its leadership in the 2-way mobile banking and payments market by ensuring their solutions work on virtually every mobile phone on the planet."

"The recent launch of our iPhone-optimized mobile Web offering underscores the demand from our bank customers for mobile banking solutions that support all handsets across all carriers," said David Thompson, vice president of marketing of ClairMail "Our partnership with dotMobi will ensure that the ClairMail service remains available to all mobile users, which is critical in our commitment to delivering superior consumer adoption and usage for financial institutions."
