Aim Software, a leading provider of reference data management solutions to the financial industry, announced the successful going-live of Gain Data Management at Maintrust KAG mbH, the German investment subsidiary of the Nomura Holding, Inc. Tokyo.

The reference data management platform is used by Maintrust for the automated delivery of static data from SIX Telekurs VDF into V3 by Sungard.

Maintrust KAG mbH, the German investment branch of Nomura Holding, Inc. Tokyo is one of the top asset managers worldwide. Due to growing requirements in compliance regulations and increasing demands in data processing, Maintrust decided to implement a solution which allows for a faster and improved bulk opening of instruments. After an extensive analysis of proven data management suites, Maintrust chose to go for the integrated solution of SIX Telekurs and AIM Software, which comprises the delivery of VDF data as well as their integration into the V3 banking application by SunGard.

"AIM Software's know-how in integrating SIX Telekurs data into existing banking applications as well as the maturity of the product, proved to be a decisive factor in selecting GAIN", explains Dirk Anacker, Coordinator IT at Maintrust. "GAIN Data Management meets our requirements and stands out with its flexibility and its breadth of functionalities."

In the joint project with SIX Telekurs, AIM Software first implemented the reporting solution for static data and corporate actions, which was carried out within a short time to ensure a fast usage of the data. The second phase of the project comprised the installation of the mutation as well as the opening interface and will be concluded at the end of this year. The connection of GAIN Data Management to V3 is the first automated interface for static data to this banking application and can be installed at any V3 user quickly, saving time and implementation costs.

GAIN Data Management imports, processes and maps all requested data thus creating new security records directly within the banking application V3 at any time and within a few minutes. The solution also features the processing of risk and compliance data which are derived from the raw data provided by SIX Telekurs. GAIN considerably improves the STP flow between SIX Telekurs and V3 thus enhancing the client's overall operational efficiency.

"As a modular platform GAIN Data Management can be easily integrated in a step by step approach," explains Josef Sommeregger, Vice President Business Development at AIM Software. "Its flexibility and wide functionalities provide the basis for a data management platform that is future proof and extensible."

"We are proud to welcome Maintrust KAG in the GAIN user group," adds Martin Buchberger, Head of Marketing and Sales at AIM Software. "Our long partnership with SIX Telekurs lead to the joint development and constant enhancement of our SIX Telekurs interface which represents an extensively tested data management solution fully aligned with the further development of SIX Telekurs. This is a big step towards the reduction of implementation costs and risks for other institutions relying on SIX Telekurs."
