The new version is designed to help users better integrate and manage business rules applications within the enterprise in order to improve risk management and profitability.

Blaze Advisor, an industry-leading BRMS, provides businesses with a fast and flexible platform for creating and managing the business rules that drive high-volume automated decisions. Specific enhancements in the new release include powerful new instrumentation and out-of-the-box integrations designed to accelerate implementation. A demo of release 6.6 is now available on the Decision Management Tools Community.

The deployment management tools in Blaze Advisor 6.6 enable users to monitor, track and manage the health of their systems, with many industry standards supported right out of the box. It also enables business performance monitoring, applying key performance indicators (KPIs) to decisions in real time, and increasing support for business rules lifecycle management.

"Despite the slowing economy, it's refreshing to see some vendors in the business rules management systems (BRMS) market making significant strides forward," said Stephen D. Hendrick, Group Vice President for Application Development and Deployment research at IDC. "A few vendors, including Fair Isaac, have been working hard to address important BRMS requirements such as the ability to ensure the definition of complete and consistent rules as well as understand the expected economic impact that results from alternative (or competing) rule scenarios. These capabilities will go a long way toward addressing organizational needs in the areas of process automation, governance, risk management and compliance."

"Risk management, credit decisions, claims fraud...solutions to the business challenges we're reading about in the headlines are all contingent on an effective BRMS system," said Mike Gordon, vice president, Fair Isaac Corporation. "With Blaze Advisor 6.6, Fair Isaac continues to advance the ability of our clients to address these challenges swiftly and head-on."

Blaze Advisor 6.6 will be provided to all current customers with Fair Isaac maintenance agreements.
