GFI appoints Jerry Dobner global head, development

GFI Group ('GFIG' on NASDAQ) has named Jerry Dobner Global Head of Development.

Mr. Dobner will report to Colin Heffron, GFI's President, and will remain at GFI's New York head office.

As Global Head of Development, Mr. Dobner will take overall responsibility for business analysis, quality assurance and development for GFI's electronic trading platforms - CreditMatch, GFI ForexMatch and EnergyMatch. He will also assist the development team of GFI FENICS -pricing, analytics and risk management software - headed up globally by Richard Brunt.

"Electronic trading is a vital part of GFI's strategy - technology supporting quality voice brokers - and we are delighted to be able to promote Jerry, with his wealth of knowledge and experience, to this key role", said Colin Heffron.

Mr. Dobner has been at GFI for seven years and most recently was managing the development of GFI's energy trading platform, EnergyMatch.
