The most versatile authentication platform on the market just became stronger.

Entrust (NASDAQ:ENTU), in partnership with Innovative Card Technologies (NASDAQ:INVC), today announced a multiyear distribution agreement for the InCard DisplayCard -- a slim, credit card-like form factor token -- to extend the capabilities of the Entrust IdentityGuard versatile authentication platform.

"We are excited to welcome Entrust to our partner network," said Steven R. Delcarson, CEO and President of Innovative Card Technologies. "The Entrust IdentityGuard versatile authentication platform is a perfect fit for our ultra-portable InCard DisplayCard. We look forward to authenticating data and account access for clients of Entrust around the world."

Based on a credit card-like form factor, the InCard DisplayCard one-time-passcode (OTP) token will be available later this year as a premium, upgraded token for both new and existing customers of Entrust IdentityGuard. Entrust's versatile authentication platform already features the most extensive range of authenticators on the market today.

Integrated with the Entrust IdentityGuard infrastructure, the InCard DisplayCard will be marketed to government, enterprise and financial institutions as second-factor authenticators for a wide range of customer transactions (login and transfers) at multiple points of access.

"The ease of use and portability of the credit card token provides our customers with yet another scalable, flexible authenticator for use within the Entrust IdentityGuard versatile authentication platform," said Entrust Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Conner. "We see strong demand for portable, easy-to-use authenticators -- especially in the banking and finance sectors -- and are eager to offer this unique, highly convenient form factor to our customers."

The InCard DisplayCard integrates the security of a one-time-passcode token directly into a card the size of a standard credit or debit card. At the push of a button on the card, a one-time passcode is shown on its integrated display. When requested during an online transaction, this number is entered into a user interface with other information such as the user's login name and static PIN for multifactor authentication.

The InCard DisplayCard achieved Underwriter's Laboratory (UL) certification for safe consumer distribution.
