Online broker optionsXpress files for IPO

optionsXpress Holdings, Inc. announced today that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the initial public offering of its common stock.

The sole book-running and co-lead manager of the offering will be Goldman, Sachs & Co., with Merrill Lynch & Co. serving as co-lead manager and Bank of America Securities LLC and Raymond James as co-managers.

A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the SEC but has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold nor may offers to buy be accepted prior to the time the registration statement becomes effective. This announcement shall not constitute an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy nor shall there be any sale of these securities in any state in which such offer, solicitation or sale would be unlawful prior to registration or qualification under the securities laws of such state. The company anticipates that the offering will include sales by certain of its stockholders.
