Voice Commerce Group, worldwide operators of the Voice Pay and Voice Transact services, today announces three new appointments to its senior management team and the establishment of a UK operational centre in Cambridge, where the company's Risk, Compliance and Underwriting teams will be based.
These latest hires will drive growth and help manage the rapid worldwide expansion the company is experiencing in terms of interest for its unique voice signature services.
New appointments
• Tom Murgatroyd joins Voice Commerce Group to lead Business Development and will be responsible for supporting and developing the organisation's growing global customer base, which already numbers major worldwide financial institutions. In his previous role at GE Money, Tom spent several years leading client management and business development teams. Prior to this, he held the position of Global Service to Sales Manager at GEM UK where his responsibilities included driving the performance of a customer portfolio.
• Shaun Lavelle joins Voice Commerce Group as Head of Underwriting based in Cambridge. Shaun will be responsible for Managing Risk, Compliance and Regulatory liaison working with Banks and Financial institution on the deployment of Voice Transact as well as driving the growth of Voice Pay as a global mobile payments brand. Shaun brings nearly 15 years of senior experience in payment processing acquiring roles, most recently as Vice President of Risk Operations at Optimal Payments and Director of Credit and Risk at Euroconex (Elavon).
• Phil Hosking joins Voice Commerce Group as Head of Operations. Phil brings more than 12 years experience of project management in both the Middle East and the UK. His previous roles have included responsibility for IBM's storage business across six countries in the Middle East. Phil will be based in Voice Commerce Group's research, development and global operational support centre in Dubai which has recently doubled in size.

In June 2008, Voice Commerce Group announced the development of Voice Transact, the world's first global system and set of banking standards that are now starting to encourage the widespread adoption of 'voice signatures', which are complex instruments that combine the use of voice biometrics with transactional history, trends and patterns to create a highly secure, unique payment or financial service authorisation environment for the global payments and financial services industry.
