Fiserv(NASDAQ: FISV), a leading provider of information technology services to the financial industry, today announced that William Garland has joined Fiserv Lending Solutions as Senior Vice President in their portfolio services unit overseeing the company's Home Retention Solutions technology.
This key Fiserv technology portfolio is designed to assist financial institutions in proactively identifying and contacting troubled borrowers with customized repayment solutions to try to keep them out of foreclosure. Garland joins Fiserv after serving as a consultant to the company in the creation and development of the Home Retention program.
A seasoned mortgage industry professional, Garland has held multiple senior leadership positions and brings more than 25 years of industry experience to Fiserv. He assisted Fiserv in developing the Home Retention program, an end-to-end solution for lenders to deal with borrowers in default or on the brink of default. Fiserv can provide the analytics to identify those loans and provide all the back office fulfillment support to customize repayment solutions.

Garland's diverse experience spans start-up operations to optimizing the performance of mortgage lending businesses at established banks and consumer finance companies. Prior to joining Fiserv, Garland served as a major accounts manager for Remend Inc., a mortgage solutions provider, where he worked with technical staff and clients to design and deploy software solutions.
