SIA-SSB launches B-Gate, a new direct Bank- Enterprise connectivity system which allows full automation of the communication flows between financial institutions and corporates, both at domestic and international level.

More specifically, with B-Gate Italian and foreign enterprises will be able to exchange electronic invoices, payments instructions, direct debit and reporting order with lending institutions across Europe, without having to deal with the management of the various network protocols, in a totally secure, automated way ("Straight Through Processing").

In Italy alone there are around 22,000 companies and small-medium size firms with ERPs to integrate all the business processes and cycles, that can benefit from BGate's features.

Up to now, enterprises have been communicating with banks through low-cost, unsecured Internet-based solutions, then investing in order to reduce risks. Today, B-Gate allows them to exchange financial and commercial data on a network infrastructure with the same levels of security and protection as the National Interbank Network, with simplified management and at competitive costs.

All the network devices that make up the entire infrastructure for data transferral through B-Gate are monitored and managed by the Network Management Hub, a technology platform developed by SIA-SSB.

From a single control point, the Management Hub operators can check in real time the proper functioning of the messaging systems as well as any service support operations, without ever entering into the specifics of the information being carried. B-Gate can be considered the "last mile" between enterprise and banking environments. It is in fact the extension of the SIA-SSB network that the interbank system has been using for more than 20 years and which is today the basis for the services offered by ACBI (the Italian Corporate Banking Association).

The new SIA-SSB network service is part of the Group's strategy focused on responding effectively to the changes resulting from the adoption of the SEPA (single euro payments area) standards.

Together with B-Gate, the SIA-SSB group provides enterprises with a whole set of application services that facilitate communication with the financial system through
standard languages and modes.
