GemStone Systems, a leading provider of distributed data management and virtualization solutions today announced a new technology partnership with Adobe Systems Incorporated to provide in-memory data distribution capabilities to Adobe LiveCycle Enterprise Suite (ES).

Under the terms of the agreement, Adobe will embed GemStone's GemFire Enterprise software into LiveCycle ES, an integrated server solution that automates people-centric processes for large enterprises. GemStone's GemFire Enterprise will be used within the LiveCycle ES Foundation technology to help increase the scalability and performance of LiveCycle and support large clusters that span multiple geographical locations.

GemStone's Enterprise Data Fabric product, GemFire Enterprise, is an in-memory distributed data store that pools memory across clustered nodes to create a data abstraction layer that provides memory speed data access, on-demand data scalability and a fault tolerant data infrastructure. By augmenting the existing data management infrastructure technology within LiveCycle ES, GemFire Enterprise will improve the data scalability and resiliency needs of the platform.

"With proven success in various high-volume, mission critical applications, we are confident that GemFire Enterprise will provide Adobe customers with a highly scalable and reliable foundation for their process automation," said Juan Menendez, senior vice president of Business Development and Alliances, GemStone Systems. "This vital component will help Adobe deliver a streamlined solution to help enterprise users focus on growing their business."

Adobe LiveCycle ES is an integrated family of software for automating processes that help businesses and governments more effectively engage with customers, citizens, partners, and suppliers. Integration of GemFire Enterprise in LiveCycle ES will support the growing trend of large cluster deployments of LiveCycle that span multiple geographical locations. The inherent in-memory data distribution nature of GemFire Enterprise allows for massive data scalability with high resiliency.

"The on-demand scalability features of GemFire Enterprise will enable our customers to deploy data critical applications across geographical locations without compromising data availability," said Brian Wick, director of product marketing for LiveCycle at Adobe. "GemFire Enterprise help make LiveCycle ES a more dynamic and extensible product which will result in broader adoption across a wide-array of horizontal markets."
