Bravura Solutions Limited (Bravura) - a leading global supplier of wealth management applications and professional services - and Perpetual, one of Australia's leading fund managers, today announced the first stage completion of successful testing of functionality compatible with the EPI/Xplan platform.
Perpetual was the first client to implement Bravura's Wrap application and to utilise Sonata Business Services, which is an end-to-end business solution delivering full enterprise workflow management and document imaging across Perpetual's entire back office.
Perpetual's Chief Operating Officer, Mr Eric Wang said: "Upon conclusion of Acceptance Testing, the release of the EPI/Xplan platform with compatible functionality for Bravura's new platform will mean that our advisors will be able to view client account details locally, via a daily feed.
"Automating data feeds saves time and eliminates the errors that can result from manually entering information into financial planning software."
Bravura's platform is a complete solution for administering wrap platforms, master trusts, retail/wholesale unit trusts and retirement products such as superannuation plans, pensions, annuities and provident funds.
The application is used by investment managers, banks and product administrators to administer client holdings of more than A$40 billion (£19.5 billion) in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Asia.
Xplan is a web-based system for managing client data, investment projections, portfolios, risk and reporting. The EPI standards are a common protocol for the transfer of information from platforms to front-end software, eliminating the need for data to be re-keyed between systems, and ultimately improving efficiency.
"Perpetual continues to experience positive results from the use of Bravura's platform, which went into production in January 2008. The inclusion of this new functionality provides an indication of Bravura's ongoing commitment to the development of the product. Acceptance Testing will continue into quarter four of 2008, and will be followed by a phased roll-out program to advisors through to the end of the calendar year," Mr Wang said.
Bravura's Global Head of Product, Darren Stevens, said: "Bravura endeavours to maintain a constant focus on aon anticipating and meeting client requirements in its range of products. We seek to provide market leading technology, with rich and modern functionality.
"We are excited to be developing this additional layer of functionality for Perpetual, and look forward to offering this to further Bravura clients in the future."
