Charles River Development (Charles River), an award-winning provider of financial software and services to the global investment management community, today announced that London-based hedge fund and asset manager Thames River Capital and its affiliates Nevsky Capital and Thames River Multi-Capital LLP (Thames River), with USD$13.0 billion of assets under management, is live on the Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS) for post-trade compliance monitoring of its equity, fixed income, derivatives and property portfolios.

Charles River IMS supports compliance for Thames River's eight fund-management teams on one integrated platform. Thames River is also implementing Charles River IMS for portfolio management and strategy analysis.

"As an absolute return focused business, our operating model is simple: help fund managers exceed their investors' expectations," said Jeremy Charles, Chief Operating Officer, Thames River Capital. "Charles River IMS helps us deliver the right platform for our fund managers in terms of enterprise-wide compliance and support for investment processes."

"Charles River has proven experience and flexible technology for buy-side clients who need to comply with ever-changing market regulations - including risk exposure calculations for derivatives which are critical for hedge funds like those managed by Thames River," said Jon Steward, Managing Director-EMEA, Charles River Development. "We make significant investment to ensure that clients spend little time configuring our system. Our pre-built libraries now cover over 1,700 country-specific regulatory and general example rules, including European regulations such as UCITS III, InvG, DerivateV and KAGG."

The project, delivered on-time and on-budget, completes Phase One of Thames River's initiative to streamline post-trade compliance monitoring across all asset classes. Thames River has realized immediate benefits, for example, compliance officers can now monitor trade flows in half the time of the previous manual processes. Charles River also designed a standard messaging architecture which seamlessly integrates with Thames River's third-party data providers. Thames River is currently implementing Phase Two of the project, which will deploy Charles River's portfolio management tools for consistent and efficient portfolio analysis, as well as pre-trade compliance.
