Centrify Corporation, a leading provider of Microsoft Active Directory-based auditing, access control and identity management solutions for non-Microsoft platforms, today announced that Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) has selected Centrify DirectControl for a pilot deployment to optimise the efficiency and manageability of its UNIX- and Linux-based computing systems.

Using Centrify DirectControl, SG CIB will be able to further optimize its IT management control by leveraging its existing, robust Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure to centrally administer user accounts and access controls for its UNIX and Linux server systems in addition to its Windows systems.

SG CIB, one of the three core businesses of the Societe Generale Group, delivers integrated financial solutions to corporations, financial institutions and investors in over 45 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific.

"SG CIB's selection process was both rigorous and comprehensive," noted Steve Kennedy, Centrify vice president of worldwide operations. "We are pleased to have been selected by SG CIB to demonstrate how DirectControl can help optimize their IT infrastructure with a solution that is secure, cost-effective and non-intrusive."
