Vermilion Software, the leading provider of easy-to-use client reporting and communications software, has recently announced the expansion of its organization to support the growing market demand in the United States and Canada.

David Mead has been selected to head Vermilion's North American office in New York City. "We are thrilled to have David join Vermilion Software," said Simon Cornwell, Director, Marketing and Sales. "This is well timed as the Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) is being deployed by a growing number of US-based firms." Most recently, a large investment manager in Jersey City, NJ, selected VRS to support their institutional clients.

"Having been involved in the client reporting solution market for a number of years, I have found that investment management firms are seeking reporting solutions that are easily configured, quickly deployed and offer a high degree of flexibility in responding to investors' unique requirements. I view Vermilion Software as the clear leader in this regard," said David Mead.

Vermilion recently announced the latest release of VRS, version 2.3. Key features of the product include:
  • Choice of output format from a single template, including editable Microsoft PowerPoint, Word & Excel as well as PDF, HTML and XML
  • Optional data mart / warehouse module that automatically aggregates, validates and formats data from any number and variety of upstream systems, applications and files
  • Scheduled and ad hoc report generation, including "point and click" selection of individual investor report requirements
  • Performance dashboard with complete drill down navigation to underlying workflows, tasks and reports
  • Drag and drop template development with highly sophisticated charting & design, and re-use of components across reports and communications
