Misys plc (FTSE: MSY.L), the global application software and services company, today announces an agreement with ICBPI Group, one of the largest domestic invoicing and payment processors in Italy to host an international trade finance solution for banks in the country.
Misys Trade Portal, the award-winning international trade finance solution, will be hosted by ICBPI Group, enhancing its collaborative business platform, i-CBP for its customers in Italy. Banks access ICBPI's platform via a "Software as a Service" model, through which they can provide corporate clients with commercial and financial information exchange services.
The solution from Misys brings advanced trade finance and financial supply chain management functionality to ICBPI's platform for the Italian market, enabling importers and exporters to connect seamlessly to their bank. Misys Trade Portal makes it easier for them to complete their international trade transactions while accessing a wide range of additional trade services through the portal.
"The partnership with ICBPI validates our position as the leading trade finance solution vendor," states Guy Warren, EVP and General Manager, Misys Banking. "We are delighted to be able to add value to such an important player in Italy, enriching the services it provides to its customers with additional international trade finance capabilities, powered by Misys Trade Portal. This winning partnership enables ICBPI to provide further benefits to its existing customers as well as gain new customers, at the same time as extending Misys' reach in one of the largest trade countries in Europe.
"As a market leader in payments and electronic invoicing in Italy, we are focused on providing the best services in every business area in which we are involved," says Giuseppe Capponcelli, Managing Director ICBPI Group. "The collaboration with Misys will enrich our services in the corporate banking area, enabling our bank customers to offer advanced trade solutions to their corporate customers.
