Omgeo, the global standard for post-trade efficiency, today announced the addition of four new members to its Board of Managers.
The new board members include Naresh N. Kumar, Managing Director, Global Head of Operations, Institutional Clients Group, Citi; Peter Johnston, Managing Director - Global Securities and Clearing Operations, Goldman Sachs; Matthew Burkley, Global Head of Strategy, Thomson Reuters Markets Division; and Jon Robson, President, Enterprise, Thomson Reuters. The new board members replace Robert Kaplan, Robert Gartland, Sharon Rowlands and James Toffey, who have retired their positions.
Omgeo's Board of Managers is a vital part of the ongoing governance and industry oversight of its organization. The members of the board are responsible for representing the interests of all Omgeo's clients as decisions about strategy, governance and operations are made.
Naresh Kumar is Global Head of Operations for Citi's Institutional Clients Group. Mr. Kumar is a member of Citi's Global Operations Council and the O&T Leadership Team. He received his engineering degree from India's Institute of Technology and his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management.
Peter Johnston, Managing Director of Securities Operations and Clearing Operations at Goldman Sachs, is responsible for securities clearing operations globally and is a member of the firm's Operations Division Operating Committee. Mr. Johnston is a member of the DTCC Operations and Planning Board Committee and sits on the board of Euroclear SA/NV. He received his BS and MBA degrees from St. John's University.
Matthew Burkley, Head of Strategy at Thomson Reuters Markets, is responsible for building the strategic planning process and working with the divisions and key functional areas to develop the overall strategy and ensure its execution. Mr. Burkley earned his BA degree from Colorado College and MBA from Harvard Business School.
Jon Robson leads the Enterprise Strategic Business Unit of Thomson Reuters Markets, incorporating Enterprise Information, Pricing and Reference DData, Digital Data Feeds, Information Management Solutions, Middleware Technology and Trade and Risk Management Solutions. Mr.
Robson sits on the boards of the New York City Investment Fund, The Partnership for New York and the British American Business Institute.
