The Epson TM-J9000 is the only integrated teller device that provides check and ID scanning, validation and receipt printing all in a single compact footprint. Using the Epson TM-J9000 with VSoft's Agile Branch - Teller, customers get a solution that enables tellers to print receipts and scan and proof deposits while the customer is in the branch, minimizing deposit errors and eliminating the resulting adjustments to customer accounts which are common to batch check scanning methods. The TM-J9000's ID scanning capability also helps financial institutions reduce liability by complying with the customer identification requirements of the U.S. Patriot Act.
With the TM-J9000 and Agile Branch - Teller, checks are scanned at the point of presentment, enabling financial institutions to cut check handling costs, improve document handling workflow and reduce float time, improving the institution's overall profitability. "Total check processing time is significantly reduced, speeding transactions and teller lines, resulting in improved customer service for the bank," said Bud Weist, vice president of sales and marketing, Epson System Device Group.
VSoft worked closely with Epson to integrate the TM-J9000 scanner into the Agile Branch - Teller solution. "We are pleased to include Epson as a part of our Teller Capture strategy," said Vijay Balakrishnan, chief operating officer, VSoft Corporation. "The synergy between an accurate, all-in-one device and VSoft's easy to use application provides a powerful value proposition for all financial institutions."
