Scottrade names David Hinkson director, customer privacy and data

Scottrade, a leading branch-supported online investment firm, has hired David Hinkson to lead its Customer Privacy and Data Management programs.

Hinkson has 35 years of experience in the financial services industry and will report directly to the Executive Director of Legal and Compliance at the firm's headquarters in St. Louis.

As Director of Customer Privacy and Data, Hinkson is responsible for the development and implementation of Scottrade's customer privacy and data policies. He will also assist in firm initiatives dealing with its anti-money laundering program.

Before joining Scottrade, Hinkson was previously the Vice President and Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer for Wachovia Securities/A.G. Edwards & Sons. In his long and distinguished career at A.G. Edwards, he held many positions and was a key participant in multiple technology and operations initiatives. He also served as the Credit and Collection Manager for the investment company. Hinkson attended the University of Missouri - St. Louis, where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting and started his career in public accounting. He currently resides in Kirkwood, Mo.
