Aconite, a leading provider of smart card software solutions and professional services today announced the opening of their Latin American Regional Sale Office in São Paulo, Brazil.
Rafael Marinho will head up this office and brings to Aconite over 10 years experience in card / payments in the Latin American market.
This appointment follows recent announcements regarding partnership agreements with regional smart card companies, including Genia Tecnologia in Brazil, the ipsgroup in Argentina and Vilsa in Mexico. Most recently, Marinho was the commercial director of Omnia Consultoria e Servicos, a company providing software and services to the Brazilian cards market. Prior to that, Marinho held senior roles with responsibility for business development in the Latin American smart cards industry at NET1 UEPS Technologies, GPS Tecnologia and BGS Smart Card Systems AG.
