BankAtlantic (NYSE:BBX), 'Florida's Most Convenient Bank', today announced that it would expand its offering of extended hours until midnight in numerous branches throughout Florida.

Open from 7:30 a.m. until midnight seven days a week, these branches will provide customers with full-service banking at hours convenient to their busy schedules. BankAtlantic began its "midnight hours" pilot program in June of this year at its Kendale Lakes branch located in Miami-Dade County.

"BankAtlantic continues to redefine 'bankers' hours. Opening branch lobbies until midnight is a continuation of BankAtlantic's commitment to provide convenience to customers," said Jarett Levan, BankAtlantic's Chief Marketing Officer. "We are pleased the pilot program has proven to be a success and are delighted to expand this offering in several counties."

The following locations will be hosting the midnight hours beginning January 5, 2005:
Miami-Dade County
  • Flagler branch - 7900 West Flagler Street
  • Hialeah branch - 1455 West 49th Street
  • Kendale Lakes branch - 8701 S.W. 137th Avenue (open until midnight since June 2004)

Broward County
  • 17th Street Causeway branch - 1300 S.E. 17th Street Causeway
  • Tamarac branch - 5600 N. University Drive

Palm Beach County
  • Downtown Boca branch - 701 N. Federal Hwy.
  • West Palm Beach branch - 5737 Okeechobee Blvd.

Hillsborough County
  • N. Dale Mabry branch - 8001 North Dale Mabry, Bldg. 201

"The business world is constantly changing, and in the past, many companies have decided to offer services beyond the ordinary timeframe. It is possible to buy donuts and coffee, get prescriptions filled or have presentations prepared and copies made at any time of the night," added Levan. "Now BankAtlantic is joining these successful retailers and extending hours to provide additional convenience to those who need bank services at unusual times."

"This is just one more unique service of BankAtlantic's 'Florida's Most Convenient Bank' initiative. First, the bank opened 7 days a week, then extended weekday and weekend hours, next offered 24/7 call center service, followed by free checking for retail and small business customers, then opened on 'traditional' banking holidays, offering free online banking and Totally Free Change Exchange coin counters."

"We remain dedicated to the concept of customer convenience," stated Levan. "It is clearly appreciated by our growing list of customers, and BankAtlantic will continue to focus on offering innovative products and services to ensure our customers' banking experience is unique, fun and convenient."
