i-design, which has developed and sells a market leading ATM advertising solution called ATM:ad, enabling ATM owners to run both their own and third party advertising across their cash machines, is pleased to announce its first overseas sale.
The sale has been made to a leading ATM network owner in Greece by i-design's channel partner, Mellon Financial Products Support S.A., part of the leading multinational technological solutions company, Mellon Group. The bank will initially be deploying ATM:ad software to run targeted one-to-one internal marketing campaigns on its ATM network.
The sale marks the first step in i-design's strategy to develop sales outside the UK and was secured after a rigorous tender process. Since the bank operates ATMs and software from different vendors, a key attraction was ATM:ad's unique platform independent capability.
i-design will commence the implementation of its solution in June 2008 and, following completion, will provide ongoing support via Mellon for its groundbreaking product.
i-design intends to build its overseas business by utilising channel partners as well as its own in-house sales team.
The win follows i-design's landmark contract with The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, the largest ATM network owner in the UK, which was announced in January 2008.
Commenting, Ana Stewart, Chief Executive of i-design, said, "We believe there is huge potential to take our ATM advertising solution overseas and this sale is significant because it is our first deployment with a bank based outside of the UK.
"Our advertising solution is now proven in the UK, having been adopted by three major UK banks, including The Royal Bank of Scotland, the largest ATM owner in this country. Now that we have firmly established the credentials of ATM:ad in the UK, we have a strong base from which to continue to build our business abroad and it is encouraging that our channel partner for this territory has secured as their first ATM:ad customer a major player within the Greek marketplace.
"In targeting overseas customers, our intention is to use our own sales team but also to develop our channel model further and I am pleased to see that this strategy is taking shape, with this w this win coming through a channel partner."
