Fincentric Corporation, a leading global provider of core retail banking software to financial institutions, announced that Terrace & District Credit Union has successfully converted and is running live on its new system, Wealthview Banking.
Fincentric's member-centric banking system provides Terrace & District Credit Union with enhanced depth of functionality for its competitive deposits, lending, insurance and investment products, financial planning, business banking, and online banking.
Prior to converting to Wealthview Banking, Terrace & District Credit Union was running a data processing system that was cumbersome to use and difficult to retrieve customer data. "Wealthview Banking is a world of difference compared with the previous system we had in place. It not only gives us the unprecedented ability to view each member's complete financial picture on a single screen for enhanced front-line services but we're also seeing improvements in reporting on the back-end and reduced data processing costs," said Valerie Gauvin, General Manager of Terrace & District Credit Union.
Terrace & District Credit Union, located in Terrace, British Columbia, is at the geographic centre of Northwest B.C., which includes the communities of Kitimat, Prince Rupert and Stewart. Founded in 1945, the credit union today manages $60M in assets and has over 4,500 members. "We are a community-based financial co-operative, committed to meeting the needs of our members by providing the highest quality financial services," added Gauvin. "With Wealthview Banking, we can maintain our quality of service while operating efficiently."
Wealthview Banking is a complete core retail banking system for credit unions. It offers comprehensive applications for deposits, payments, and consumer lending with real-time transaction processing and integration across multiple delivery channels, including branch, ATM, telephone, and Internet banking. With Wealthview Banking, credit unions can analyze the value of each member and deliver service levels aimed to increase member retention.
Terrace & District Credit Union selected Fincentric by working through CU Technical and Administrative Services Corp. (CUTASC), a facilities manager and ITager and IT systems integrator, owned by Evergreen Savings Credit Union and Northern Savings Credit Union. "CUTASC's objective is to provide credit unions with timely access to technology best practices and tools," said Wilf Rimmer, CUTASC's CEO. "We selected Fincentric because they are a forward-thinking company; they understand the direction of domestic and global financial services and have a track record of successful software innovation."
Alice Laberge, Fincentric's president and chief executive officer commented, "Having been selected by CUTASC and Terrace & District Credit Union confirms our credentials in the credit union marketplace. We're proud to be engaged with CUTASC and look forward to a long, strategic relationship. With 20 years of technology expertise, we continue to realize our vision of providing software solutions that help credit unions grow the value of their members."
