Financial Services industry veteran Robert Mazzarella has been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pyxis Mobile, the leading provider of innovative wireless applications for Financial Services, the company announced Tuesday.
Mazzarella expands his previous role as Board member and executive advisor to include chief executive duties.
"Bob brings a wealth of executive-level industry experience and a track record of successful business growth," says co-founder and CTO Todd Christy. "He has been a close advisor to our leadership team over the past year, and I look forward to working with him as we execute our business strategy."
Mazzarella, who brings over three decades of Financial Services experience to Pyxis Mobile, has built market-dominant businesses before as a senior executive at Fidelity. "Pyxis Mobile's management team under the leadership of Shane Hughes has positioned itself as the leader in Financial Services mobility," said Mazzarella. "With our recent 6.0 release, high-profile partnerships and customer wins, we are poised for the next level. I am committed and excited to lead this exceptional company."
Former CEO Shane Hughes remains involved in the company via an advisory role and Board participation. "Bob is a proven winner and the right leader to accelerate the company," said Hughes.
