Sophis adds Olav Bridie to sales team

Sophis, a leading provider of cross-asset, front-to-back risk and portfolio management solutions, today announced the appointment of Olav Bridié as its new head of sales for investment banking in the UK, Ireland, Nordics and South Africa.

Based in London, Bridié will be responsible for driving new business and managing client relationships reporting to Sebastien Roussotte, COO Sophis UK, Ireland, Nordics and South Africa.

Sophis UK employs over 40 staff and provides services to more than 30 clients in the region. Bridié joins Sophis from Reuters where he has worked for 13 years in various international roles. Most recently he was responsible for Reuters trade & risk management business in the UK and Ireland.

Bridié commented on his new role: "It's an exciting time to be joining Sophis - global demand for its RISQUE and VALUE products is strong and the quality and depth of the staff and the product is impressive. Sophis is a successful and rapidly expanding business with a solid client base. I'm looking forward to working with our key customers and the rest of the team to further develop the business."

Sebastien Roussotte, COO Sophis UK, Ireland, Nordics and South Africa, concluded: "Our market share in the region is already impressive especially in the equity derivatives space. The appointment of Olav will help Sophis to further consolidate this and enable us to develop our reach into equity finance, commodities, structured instruments and new territories."
