IT2 Treasury Solutions announces that London based Cable & Wireless Plc has selected the IT2 treasury management system as a best practice solution to support their central Treasury operations for Europe, Asia and the USA (EAU).

Cable & Wireless Plc is one of the world's leading communications companies, operating through two standalone business units - International and EAU. The EAU business unit provides enterprise and carrier solutions to the largest users of telecommunications services across the UK, the USA, Continental Europe and Asia.

Cable & Wireless selected IT2 as their replacement TMS to provide a cost-effective, dependable and fully integrated solution. The IT2 implementation will support cash and treasury management, treasury accounting and reporting. The system will interface with the Citidirect electronic banking service. It will support hedging operations using derivative instruments in an integral STP workflow that eliminates the need for re-keying and manipulation of data in spreadsheets, thus improving efficiency, accuracy and reliability in treasury operations.
