In a move to further strengthen its corporate reputation and profile amongst decision makers in banks and financial institutions, NOMAD Software has appointed Bryan Taylor as non executive chairman.

Taylor brings 30 years of experience in the IT industry to NOMAD.  During this period he has held senior executive positions at Fujitsu, ICL and Nokia.  He has also been responsible for guiding the management teams of several software companies through the process of generating sustainable and profitable growth.  This has lead to 3rd and 4th round reinvestment or flotation.

In addition to his role at NOMAD, Taylor also chairs Exor Corporation (a 3i investment) and is CEO of PAV IT Services.

Taylor commented: "I am thrilled to join NOMAD at such an important time in the company's development.  Already an established leader in the front end switch and card management arena, the recent launch of Debit Direct an outsourced debit card management solution, presents NOMAD with huge market growth opportunities.  The offering has been aimed at a new target audience - financial institutions which have not been able to participate in the debit card market due to the high entry costs.  These players can now compete with the market leaders on a level playing field thanks to NOMAD."

He added:  "This development, coupled with the enlargement of the EU, means that the next three years will be a particularly interesting time for us.  I look forward to working with the NOMAD team to help them to build and capitalise on their success and help to generate new business opportunities across EMEA."

John Yeomans, chief executive at NOMAD Software commented: "Bryan is an industry expert with strong commercial acumen gained from his position at blue chip technology companies.  His proven track record of executing strategic initiatives will be a valuable asset to NOMAD."
