Sinsys, the European leader in payment card processing, has experienced four intense and dynamic years since its creation.
From 2004 till now, the card and merchant portfolios of hundreds of banks in 10 different countries have been migrated to the SiNSYS unique processing platforms. Today, SiNSYS counts more than 22 million cards and more than 700.000 merchants in its systems.
Now that this intensive migration period is successfully concluded, it's more and more important to focus the organization on the customer operations and service delivery. SiNSYS announces three new appointments in the top management with the new organization, started in March 2008. Dirk Brackenier, formerly CFO, was appointed General Manager, Gabriele Boni formerly Head of Issuing Competence Centre, was appointed Chief Information Officer and Paolo Pappalepore formerly Head of Acquiring Competence Centre was appointed Chief Operating Officer.
Nicola Cordone, CEO of SiNSYS, says: "I'm proud of the whole SiNSYS team that has accepted and successfully carried out the challenge, unrivalled in this business, to migrate all these card and merchant portfolios on a single platform. I'm glad to announce that the people that made SiNSYS a success from the very beginning take now new responsibilities and let the organization further evolve towards new successes. Five years ago SiNSYS was still a dream. Today the company is a reality ready for new challenges in the SEPA world".
