AFX News Ltd., one the leading European financial news agencies, has teamed with U.K. software company Sinara Consultants Ltd to provide a new online news service.

The service will allow AFX to offer their full range of News Services to B-2-B customers via web services, which are hosted and managed by Sinara. All English language News Services are already available. European Language services will be rolled out early in Q4 2004.

Stefan Ploghaus, managing director of AFX News, comments: "We are delighted to offer our clients throughout Europe web-based access to our comprehensive real-time news. Sinara are experts in news feeds and so were able to deploy a solution very quickly. We have already signed up our first client for this service, and it is generating significant interest."

The news websites allow the users of AFX clients to view headlines and stories in real-time by subject, country and sector. Users can search headlines or stories by entering any text or a company identifier. White-labelling facilities are also offered so that, for example, online brokers can provide their clients with news on their own trading or market information websites.

Sinara's director of product strategy, Steve Dobb, comments: "AFX came to us with a very specific tight deadline for launching this service. Our extensive range of market data software and specific knowledge of the AFX feed enabled us to significantly reduce the time and effort to bring this service online."
