NCipher adds John McAughtry and Bryta Schulz to US team

nCipher plc (LSE: NCH), a global leader in protecting critical enterprise data, today announced that technology industry veteran, John McAughtry, has been appointed executive vice president of sales for the Americas and that former senior marketing executive for Symantec, PGP and RSA Security, Bryta Schulz, has been hired as vice president of product marketing.

"Both are highly proven and well respected executives. We are confident that each will make a significant contribution to our rapid expansion and growth in the Americas and worldwide."

McAughtry brings to nCipher an extensive 30 plus year track record of business leadership including various C-level and VP-level executive positions. Most recently he served as CEO of Silverado Ventures and XML Global Technologies. Previously, he held senior management positions for several technology companies including, FTP Software, Centura/Gupta Software, and Pansophic Systems. He started his career at IBM, where he held various sales and management positions.

Schulz brings more than 15 years of software and security industry experience to the newly created position of vice president of product marketing. She has held a variety of senior marketing positions with industry leading security and software companies. Most recently, she was senior manager of product marketing for Symantec. She also served in product marketing positions with RSA Security and PGP Corporation, where she managed encryption solutions, including product strategy, positioning, and global go-to-market plans. She began her career as an account manager with Xerox Corporation.
