BNY Mellon Asset Servicing B.V. has been reappointed by TD Waterhouse Bank N.V. in the Netherlands as global custodian to assets valued at EUR 5.2 billion.

A subsidiary of the Toronto Dominion Bank Financial Group, TD Waterhouse Bank N.V. ('the Bank') manages a large investment portfolio of fixed income instruments as well as private retail deposits in the Netherlands and the UK
TD Waterhouse Bank N.V. has used ABN AMRO Mellon Global Securities Services B.V. as its global custodian for the past five years. In line with its corporate governance policies, the Bank undertook to review its custody arrangements in 2007.

Following a thorough selection process involving no less than seven providers, the Bank chose to retain ABN AMRO Mellon - since renamed BNY Mellon Asset Servicing B.V. following its December 2007 integration into the BNY Mellon Asset Servicing business - as its global custodian.

Yves Sawaya, Managing Director at TD Waterhouse Bank N.V., said: "We considered a wide range of criteria before coming to our decision, and BNY Mellon's proven excellence in respect of service standards, client focus and relationship management reconfirmed their status as the leading candidate."

Nadine Chakar, Head of EMEA for BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, said: "I am delighted that TD Waterhouse Bank N.V. has chosen to continue our valued relationship. In the face of intense competition we have again reconfirmed our status as the leading custody provider in the Netherlands thanks to our continued commitment to forging trusted partnerships built on quality, innovation and flexibility."
