Leading Smart Card solutions provider Applied Card Technologies (ACT) has attained Microsoft Certified Partner status. Microsoft Certified Partners are independent companies that provide IT services and IT products based on Microsoft technologies to corporate, government and small business customers.

The Microsoft Certified Partner Program is worldwide in scope and is considered one of the most important resources for enabling Microsoft solutions.

Gary Watts, managing director, ACT, commented: "Being a Microsoft Certified Partner ensures that our staff are trained and qualified to work with the products that we support, delivering the best solutions in a professional and effective way. Our staff have passed rigorous exams and accreditation tests developed by Microsoft to ensure that they meet Microsoft's high standards."

Whether customers want to supplement in-house development staff during a time critical project or require a bespoke solution designed and fully integrated within their business operations, ACT has the comprehensive range of skills and services to meet their software development needs on Microsoft or other leading edge products.
